ALFA Network Wi-Fi Security Camera Antenna Indoor Booster & Extension Kit

This is an antenna/base/connector kit for use with an outdoor WiFi security camera or IP video camera with an external antenna port for 2.4 GHz. This kit includes a directional high gain WiFi antenna (ALFA APA-M25), heavy duty magnet base w/ 11 foot extension cable, and an SMA male RP-SMA female adapter (many video cameras have either a RP-SMA or SMA antenna connector, so this converter ensures our booster kit no matter which connector on your camera). 

If your security camera features a detachable antenna, but the location of placement is keeping the antenna it comes with covered up or blocked by obstacles, our extension kit allows you to use a larger antenna with your camera and mount it up to 11 feet away from your camera.

APA-M25:

ALFA APA-M25 is a new dual band 2.4/5 GHz high gain directional indoor panel antenna with RP-SMA connector (compare to Asus WL-ANT-157). It can be used with any dual band Wi-Fi receiver or router/AP that has an RP-SMA port. It is compatible with the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi equipment. This antenna works with both the 2.4 and the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band.

Directional vs. Omni directional antennas: Omni-directional antennas can detect signals from multiple directions because gain in concentrated in a 360 degree horizontal pattern. They work best when you are mobile and do not know where signals are originating. Directional antennas concentrate gain in a particular direction.  Directional antennas help reduce noise/interference because they are not picking up signals strong from other directions.

Heavy Duty RP-SMA magnet base

Our heavy duty magnet base with RP-SMA connector features 11 feet of high grade CFD-200 RP-SMA male to female extension cable built into the base. This means you can extend your RP-SMA antenna with very limited gain loss. Our thick shielded CFD-200 cable limits gain loss to just 1.8 dBi, helping you preserve your antenna gain.

Heavy Duty/Heavy Weight

When you need your magnet base to stay upright in higher winds, lower cost light weight alternatives can’t form a strong bond to the magnetic surface and are likely to fall over. Some bases may tip just due to the weight of your antenna. Our heavy duty magnet gives the total base a weight of 11 ounces, compared to just 3 ounces for an entry level base.
